Taken my car to 2 other garages for electrical repairs, I had a problem with my smart charging alternator on my fiesta, they did not check the alternator and just fitted a new one, cost over 200. then told me it was a wiring problem.spoke to Vehicle Electrics, they came out, checked the alternator just in case ( great to see they had specific equipment to do this) alternator all ok, and suspected old alternator would have been ok, then checked the wiring, eventually found a very small break in the wire (how they found it was amazing it was so small) repaired the wire and checked charging all done within 2 hours. great service, wish I had known this before getting the alternator replaced.
